We are the First school in India to have Computer Aided Teaching and Learning through Smart Class using Plasma Screens with Smart Assessment System (SAS ) in all the classes.
SAS is an unique tool which instantly allows teachers to assess and evaluate the learning achieved by students. The system is designed for the students to answer Multiple Choice Questions in the classroom. Students answer the test with a powerful hand held remote device by pressing the appropriate button. The data pertaining to each child is stored and the application allows the teacher to generate a wide range of reports with respect to the whole class and also for each individual student. The SAS will benefit students in the long run by increasing their speed and mental alertness during examinations.
Smart Class is a highly interactive computer based aid which makes lessons come alive. Through the Smart class program teachers use digital resources such as Animation Clips, Videos, Diagrams, Maps, Graphs, Working models, Computer based simulations etc. from the vast repository, while teaching the chosen topic in the classroom enabling students to acquire a faster and a better understanding of the concepts taught. Through the internet teachers connect to information resources far beyond the physical confines of the classroom and bring the virtual world within the walls of the classroom thus exponentially increasing the knowledge base for practical use in teaching and learning.
Math Lab
Which creates an environment for student-centric explorative (learning by doing). It is all about learning, verifying and visualizing mathematical concepts in a ‘fun’ way. It inculcates learning through ‘Applied Reasoning’. This learner centered approach to math helps every child imagine, investigate and interact effectively. The multiple teaching and learning aids comprises technology applications, videos, manipulative and measuring instruments, tables, charts and so much more.
Wi-Fi Campus
State-of-the-art Wi - Fi Multimedia Computer Lab with TFT Monitors, one for each student and Internet facility.
Seminar Hall
The Hall equipped with advanced presentation tools, is the ideal venue for seminars and conferences. We have successfully conducted two National Seminars in 2004 and 2006 on the topics- ‘Biotechnology: The science of the future’ and ‘Information Technology- its application in school education’ respectively. Students from prestigious schools of India had participated in the seminars. Guest speakers, experts and eminent dignitaries from reputed institutes were also present to share their views on the topics.
Digital Library
Library consists for more than15000 books online. Very soon students will be provided with Intranet Connection of the Digital Library so that they can access it from their home or any other place. This will help the students in their reference work, project work etc.
Language Lab
The Language Lab with facility that provides an excellent opportunity to learn a language as it is spoken.
Fashion Studies Workshop
One of the first schools to add Fashion Studies to its repertoire of academic courses to give students a wider choice in Class XI in the selection of courses. The faculty of FS trains the students in the theory of practice of garment manufacturing through hands on experience in textile selection, designing, cutting, sewing etc.
Biotechnology Lab
Biotechnology is an upcoming field that holds great promise for human welfare. Students have an option to select this subject in Class XI. The Bio-Tech Lab is a state-of-the-art set up with the facility for tissue culture. Students conduct experiments and take up projects of post graduation level. We create research temper at the base level.
Smart Class Online
Smart Class Online will be introduced shortly. Smart class online is India’s first 24x7 educational portal and online class 12 community to share content, get online tests with free multimedia resources , tools and content for interactive self- paced learning by students, as well as rich media presentations for teacher-led classroom learning. Online virtual schools where parents and students can interact with teachers, get assignments and share educational material, learn and understand science concepts for free.

A program which enables the students to achieve an extremely high standard of mental arithmetic.
Hostel Facility
Hostel facility is available for non Delhiite students of classes V to XII on selective basis. There are two separate wings for boys and girls. Under the supervision of separate wardens for boys and girls and comfortable study –and-work-oriented environment, hostellers are bound to be good performers both at studies and co-curricular activities.
Laboratories
The school has separate well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and Environmental science. Students from Class VI onwards are taken to these labs regularly and experimental work is well integrated with the theoretical teaching of science.
Computer Labs
The school has big IT lab. Children from nursery onwards use these labs. All the labs are well equipped with the latest computers. Computers are installed with current software according to the appropriate age.
Science Labs
The School Science labs are places where our children gain hands on experience and are places which induce wonderment and inspire inquisitiveness. Separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs offer an experience conducive to learning for students of all classes. The labs are well-equipped and provides for not only the prescribed syllabus, but much beyond. ‘Learning by Doing’ is the mantra on which these labs function. Students are exposed to Experimental Science right from Class III. Students are taught various scientific concepts through demonstrations as well as by doing experiments.
Canteen
The School Canteen supplies hygienic and healthy snacks and fruit juices to its students. The school does not permit Aerated drinks in the school canteen. The Menu is monitored carefully and revised from time to time. The school canteen serves fresh and nutritious snacks, health drinks and juices. Hot lunch is available as an optional facility on extra monthly payment.
Medical Room
There is a doctor and trained nurse available on the school premises during the working hours of the school. The medical room caters to routine medical problems. All children undergo an annual medical check-up and a health file is maintained for each student. In the event of an emergency, children are sent to a nearby hospital, which is well equipped with competent staff and facilities.
Transport Facility
Doon Public School boasts of a fleet of buses, thus ensuring efficient transportation facilities for our dear students. Drivers and conductors are trained. In each bus, a school teacher travels to ensure safety of the bus students. The school ensures that each bus remains in communication through cell-phones provided to each driver.
The buses leave the school only after the school teacher checks that each child who ought to be on the bus has actually boarded the bus.
Sporting Arena
In order to promote all round development of students, the School has always laid stress on sporting activities. In addition to teaching various physical and sporting skills to students, the school encourages multidimensional activities which satisfy human urges of competition & taste of victory.
